DictateMD

Voice dictation for web-based text fields, powered by medical-grade speech recognition.

Install (one time)

1. Download and unzip the file above to a folder you'll keep.
2. Open chrome://extensions and turn on Developer mode (top right).
3. Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped dictatemd-extension folder.
4. Open the extension's Options (Details → Extension options) and enter:
   • Relay URL: wss://scribe.biobaj.ca
   • Access token: the token from your administrator
5. On any page, open the DictateMD panel → First time? Set up microphone access → Allow.

Daily use

1. Click into the text field you want to dictate into.
2. Click the floating circle, pick an engine, press Start dictation, and speak.

For administrative dictation only. Do not dictate patient-identifiable information until your privacy office has approved the specific engine.
